Please spread word of the chapter far and wide. It’s a great way to help get PR for the book going.

I hope you like it.

I already have Mindfire and I keep it on my carousel, front row of my Kindle reading! Every essay keeps my mind fired up and I often use that book to awaken my fuzzed out tired brain in between other reading and learning! So I am excited to read this book, fabulous first chapter! I pulled over to the side of the road, despite the angry honks and look o f other drivers, and eagerly devoured it! I am heading over to Amazon.com to pre-order it right now!

Hi Angie. Glaad you liked Mindfire – and I hope you like TYWP just as much.

If that first chapter isn’t a call to action I don’t know what is. Just enough to get me excited for the book and more than enough to keep me entertained and informed during a break at work. Can’t wait for the release.

Thanks for the teaser– I’m looking forward to the final product.

I had one silly question from the intro. You say: “the culture of WordPress.com, a company of sixty people at the time” but earlier mentioned “Automattic, the company that runs WordPress.com”.

Is WordPress.com a company owned by Automattic, or just a service owned by Automattic?

I had a queer experience: Because I am halfway through reading a book involving editing called Stein on Writing I read with an editor’s eye. That has never happened before in my life.
It’s a nice chapter with nice flow.
