New essay: Teams and stars
You always want the best people, but sometimes the best people don’t fit together into a harmonious team. How do you manage star egos? How do you build good teams, with or without stars? I answer these questions and more.

Hey Scott — I saw your talk about Train Wrecks in Boston, have got your book and am liking it, and really liked this essay. But I’m surprised you don’t reference Teamwork: What Must Go Right & What Can Go Wrong (Larson and LaFasto) anywhere! It’s a great book, and a fast read (in the original short Sage form). It fits well with your comments on teams and extends them a bit. Check it out if you haven’t!
