Sacred Places tour – Gel 2006

GEL 2006, Sacred Places NYC Tour: Draft plan

Description: A half day tour of some of NYC’s sacred places, focusing on how they are designed to achieve the effects they have. We’ll spend some time at each place examining the effects they have on people but focusing on how those effects are acheived and what can be learned for designers and creators of all kinds.

Food / Money: We’ll be stopping for a quick pizza lunch early in the afternoon. You’ll need some cash for this, but other costs are covered by GEL.

Notes for participants: Wear comfortable shoes. We’ll be doing much walking. This is not a "listen to the tour guide blather on forever" kind of tour. It’s mostly self-guided and participatory, with a guide who will lead the way, point things out and answer questions.
