Ah, this links back to Scott’s review of The War of Art, where in the last section (p 147 onwards) the author discriminates between being hierarchical (more happy than X) and being territorial (art that is claimed by work gives sustenance)
If I am feeling run down I go to my territory, which for me is my keyboard, and there I feel empowered and “happy.” And there I don’t think of whether I am “happier than”
